Fashion by She: Up and Coming Trend Alert: Wide Leg Pants

She hasn't been here in a while, and man does it ever feel great to be back. Trend forecasting has always been She's guilty pleasure, and it's time to expose you to this new fetish- Wide Leg Pants.

Skinny jeans are very gradually leaving the market, while the wide leg and even bell- bottoms are slowly taking their place.  (Don't get She wrong, skinnies will be in for a while, just predicting a slow transition).
The fit will probably take some getting used to, but once you've developed a love for the look, it'll be easy to style. Think fun sweaters, crop tops, cropped cardigans...
It may be a bit early to think about your fall wardrobe, but definitely keep the wide legs in mind, they look great with long trench coats (aka another hot up- and- coming trend) and will be taking over soon!

Send us pictures of your fav wide leg looks :)

A Great Way to Get He's Attention...#HipBoneLove

She and Kris

#HipBoneLove is so hot right now. If you have the body to pull this off its a great look, and by having the body, He means, He wants to see hip bone not fat coming out the sides/bottoms. It's not mean if its true.

Fashion by She: Dress Pants Gone Casual

Ever since the (short) tuxedo pants trend a couple of seasons back, She has been drawn to dress pants. Can't quite explain why, but the clean- cut look is really refreshing. As a student, however, She doesn't have many opportunities to wear a pant- suit anywhere, which forced She to come up with creative ways to mix up the classy vibe of the dress pants with casual pieces.

Mix up the textiles. Pairing the nice dressy fabric of the pants with mesh/ leather, can dress the outfit down quite a bit. It's really fun and unpredictable, but it works.
Longer, loose fitting- tops. Nothing says casual like a baggy shirt, so combining a graphic tee/ big  sheer shirt with your dress pants can create a perfect outfit for a quick afternoon trip to Starbucks :)
Big cardigan. Any layering pieces that go below your waist, hiding the pant line, break the professional silhouette the pants create. An oversized cardigan with wide sleeves- great choice.
Super casual heels. Go for a fun color, crazy style or outrageous height! Your legs already look fantastic in those pants, adding a couple of inches to your figure will make everything look even better.

Let She know how you style your dress pants casually!

Fashion by She: Dress Your Body Type- Short Ladies

Can't get a new pair of pants without getting them hemmed first? Cocktail dresses turn into church- length pieces? Even when you wear the highest heels in the room, everyone towers over you?

If you answered yes to the above questions, you and She share a mutual pain- being short.

The fashion world seems to revolve around tall, skinny girls, offering clothes that generally fit a specific body type. Being short has always been the one thing She would change about herself if She could (At 13 She was already wearing heels on a daily basis...). However, She learned that by choosing the right pieces, us short girls, can dress our body type perfectly.

Here's a quick list of do's and don'ts to dress your body appropriately:
- DO: Shop the men's section! Graphic T- shirts are hot... graphic T- shirt dresses are hotter. Since shirts already fit you like dresses, take advantage of it and cut up a men's shirt's neckline, creating an off- the shoulder dress.
- DON'T: Wear thigh- high boots without a heel. Generally speaking, She doesn't think anyone should wear those if they're not heeled, but us, short girls, must STAY AWAY. They will make your legs appear a lot bigger and completely take away from your petite figure.
- DO: Wear high- wasted jumpers. Whereas many jumpers don't fit us properly, making us look like a little ball of fabric, high wasted jumpers actually work! They create an illusion of an elongated leg, hence making us look taller. Don't be fooled- low waist jumpers won't make your torso look nice and long, they'll make your legs look weirdly short. Bad bad bad.
- DON'T: Wear a mid- calf length pencil skirt. Cutting your calves with below the knee skirts is just a huge no no when you're short. It makes your calves look bulky, and the overall appearance isn't flattering. Wearing any below- the- knee pieces can get tricky for us, use your discretion, but generally try to avoid them.

Let She know if you have any other tips on short girl problems :)

Fashion by She: How to Wear Cowboy Boots

Cowboy boots have completely taken over street- style fashion. Kinda feels like it came out of nowhere, but it's time She embraces this new fetish society developed.
She thinks many girls who rock the cowboy boots don't style their outfits properly, and honestly, that wanna- be country girl, farm boy lovin' look is NOT a good one.

Let's fix it, shall we?

- Heels, heels, heels. Couldn't stress it enough. She's obsession with heels has been made clear in the past, but this is a crucial factor when it comes to cowboy boots... The way they loosely fit around mid- calf can create a very unflattering look, making your legs look bulky and short. Yikes.
- Unless you're going to a country music festival or a country bar, let's stay away from plaid. Too much country walking around the streets of NYC just looks silly.
- Shirt and summer dresses are fair game. Playing with the feminine element of the dress and combining it with the bad- ass, grungy cowboy boot vibe is awesome.
- Please, NO yoga pants. She knows how much you all love your yoga pants and UGGs days, but girl, cowboy boots and lulu lemons? Just say no.
- Fav combination: tight, worn- out skinny jeans and a v- neck of your choice (probably wanna go with plain white). Totally girl- next door... guys love it and it requires zero work.

How do you wear your cowboy boots? Send us pictures!

Fashion by She: She's Winter 2014 Outfits

Christmas shopping is just another excuse to come up with new outfit ideas, here are some of She's looks over the holidays:

A combination of a beaded skirt and a plain sweater created She's perfect wintery look. The balance of the big sweater and the short skirt clearly follows She's Rule of 1, and proves that innocent and festive can be sexy.

This look is a little outrageous, but that's exactly why she likes it so much. Winter 2014 is your perfect opportunity to go a little crazy with fur... And it looks fab with the snow in the background.

She LOVES this jacket. Spring/ Summer 2014 will be full of patterns and fun colours. You'll see a lot of purples and greens and obvs a lot of florals. The pattern on She's jacket, specifically, is all over everyone's new collections. A tailored, fitted jacket is a staple this season and She's already on board.

No easier outfit than an LBD and a big fur vest. Can you tell She has a few fur items in her closet?

Does She really have to explain why this look is hot...?

Fashion by She: Holiday Must Have List

Finals are finally done and everyone is getting ready for some time off. She thinks it's the perfect opportunity to make a quick check list for you all, to make sure your wardrobes aren't lacking this holiday season!

Beanie: Both boys and girls look hot in beanies. Fact. Make your boytoy get one too.

Plaid: She couldn't get enough... It started with the wrapped around the waist shirt and little skirts, and has taken over every item possible. She is currently loving the red and black color scheme... Super old school and adorable.

Good nail color: burgundy is such a holiday color! We all need a mani every once in a while and She couldn't ask for anything better than long burgundy claws.

Middy rings: don't pretend like you haven't seen them all over Pinterest.. She's been rocking the look for a while and it really reached a point where you MUST own a few. They're really cute, and add a nice touch to casual looks.

Boyfriend jeans: back to the ankle cleavage theory... Boyfriend jeans can be styled in so many ways! Go for a feminine look with a tight cropped top, or a grungy look with a baggy button down, almost- sorta tucked in. Oh and don't leave the house without heels.

Boy shorts: especially if you're going for the boyfriend jeans look with a cropped top, make sure to wear low rise jeans
that could show off the top elastic of your boy shorts... Don't believe She? Here's your proof: SUCH a hot look.

Kick ass graphic tee/ muscle tee: they look awesome tucked into a casual skirt, over leggings, skinnies and even boyfriend jeans. Pair them with your new beanie and you look like a bad b*tch.

Velvet skirt: She personally doesn't like wearing them, but they look good on 99% of people. They're your average A- line skirt but their fabric makes them extra festive and holiday like. They come in all
colors so you can play with the looks.Wear a collared shirt, buttoned up and tuck it in for a cute, wintery innocent look.

A great pair of gloves: cute gloves can really take an outfit from okay to awesome. She's been loving her little fur, open finger gloves. Also short gloves that just barely cover your entire hands are awesome. Might not be the most functional item in your closet, but it's a stylish little detail you can easily add to your winter outfit.

There ya have it, the complete She Must- Have List

Merry Christmas!

Fashion by She Beauty: STARLOOKS, Mane ‘n Tail and The Mane Choice Review

There is not enough Prada in the world to make a girl look glam if she doesn’t put any effort into her hair and make up. She recently became familiar with some of the best beauty products out there and decided to let you in on this awesomeness.

STARLOOKS

Every woman can look like the ravishing star she was born to be.

Keeping close track of make up trends can get pretty tricky and that’s exactly why she loves STARLOOKS so much… They do it for you.
How it works: All you do is subscribe to their services, and they send you products that are currently in style on a monthly basis. The days of asking the sales associates at Sephora for help are over :)
She personally liked their eye shadow palette the most. Super easy to apply and since the palette is really varied, you can go from day to night make up in a matter of minutes. She approved.

The Mane Choice

The Mane Choice™ is a company that was developed through a passionate love for healthy hair.

She’s usually very skeptical when it comes to hair products, She’s luscious locks must receive royal treatment. That’s why it’s really exciting to finally find a brand that achieves results… The idea behind The Mane Choice is the importance of using all natural and organic ingredients. No more of that chemical bs you get everywhere. They focus on enriching hair with vitamins to maintain health and shine, and it actually works.
As a huge fan of hair masks, She LOVED the Green Tea and Carrot Deep Conditioning Mask. It’s really important to use hair masks once a week to keep your hair well- nourished, and choosing an organic one is a great decision. You know you did something right when even your man comments on how soft your hair is.

Mane ‘n Tail

Hair care solutions for longer, stronger, fuller, thicker hair.

Mane ‘n Tail is a solid proof color protection can be achieved when you apply the right products. She refuses to use any other shampoo and conditioner now that She’s experienced theirs.
Their Hoofmaker is She’s fav. Originally meant to be applied on horses’ cracked hooves, this hand and nail therapy product is SUCH a great moisturizer. Dry skin is gross, you have no excuses now.

Fashion by She: 2 Minute Smokey Eye

The fashion world seems to have an unspoken rule about looking bad on a lazy day- it's simply prohibited. Whether you partied a little too hard, stayed up late watching Netflix, or spent too much time on fashiobyhe.com last night... There's a way to cheat your way around looking good with little effort- The 2 Minute Smokey Eye:

What you need: eye shadow brush, mascara, eyelash curler (optional), top and bottom eye- liner, Naked Basics palette by Urban Decay.

Step 1: Using your eye shadow brush apply Venus (lightest shade on the palette) on your entire lid. Don't forget to apply it directly under your eyebrows as well- highlighting is key!
Step 2: Using your index finger apply Crave (darkest shade on the palette) on your outer lid, slowly working your way in towards the inner lid. Make sure to get your creases. Venus and Crave will blend mid- lid and creating a grey shade, preventing from the black on the outer lid from looking too harsh.
Step 3: Apply top and bottom liner.
Step 4: Curl lashes (optional) and apply mascara.

You're welcome.

Fashion by She: Shoe of the Week - Sophia Webster Shoes

Once She starts online shopping, the entire day is a write off... shop all day or don't at all. It's been quite the struggle finding innovative shoes lately, and so, when She came across Sophia Webster, a new obsession began.

Webster creates the most outrageous looking shoes. The variety of colors and designs is beyond exciting... She can't wait to be done writing this post just to go back on the website.
These are the perfect statement pieces for a plain LBD, romper, or any casual jeans& t- shirt look. They are a bit daring, and may not be for everyone... But it's pretty fun to step out of your comfort zone every once in a while.

Good news - you can get some of the shoes online on Net-A-Porter
Bad news - only a fraction of the collection is available on alternative retailers, and the official website doesn't offer shipping outside of the UK. Maybe if we all show enough interest in them over here, they'll start shipping them our way?
-She

HE's EDITORS NOTE:  A little out there in design, but sometimes that is what it takes to get He's attention. These are definitely a pop of color and style, can make a simple outfit into a noticeable one. He Approved, just make sure you get a pair with a big heel on them.

He vs She: Headpieces- Cute or Stupid?

Functional fashion is obviously ideal, but She is often a fan of fashion trends that aren’t always so functional. We are all fully aware He hates headpieces, but it’s time someone stands up to him… Headpieces can be cute.

From hippie, to hipster to old school glam, a headpiece has the ability to tell the story behind the vibe you’re going for with your outfit. They come in all colors, textures and styles and can be paired with a huge variety of looks. Personally, on lazy days, She likes to go with a straight up- and down, plain dress and casual heels (Yes, She wears heels on lazy days too). This look can be easily transformed from boring to adorable with a simple headband.

She knows a counter argument could be: “you don’t need a headband to look cute, you look good without it”. That’s irrelevant, it’s like saying “you don’t need to wear this Tiffany’s key necklace to look pretty”. Accessories, in their nature, are not usually functional and a headpiece is no different. It can add a feminine touch to an otherwise plain outfit and is therefore She approved.
-She

HE's EDITORS NOTE: Headpieces are the WORST. He hasn't ever seen a girl pull these off in a good way ever.  No guy wants a girl with a 6" flower in her hair, no guy wants a girl with a metal hat on top of her head. A Headband maybe can look decent, but let's be honest, 99% of the population should stay as far away from headpieces as humanly possible. For you people who actually wear them and think you look good, let's not fool yourselves, you look a lot worse than you think you do, and your girlfriends aren't telling you so because it just makes them look better.
